Mandi rice with grilled chicken and kuboos — QumQum

Named for the clay pot

QumQum is named after the Arabian clay pot used to slow-cook rice and meat — the same patience and smoke that define our mandi, alfaham, and shawaya.

Recipes refined across Doha and Dubai come home to Kakkanad in warm, Arabic-style surroundings. Our signature Chicken Madhouth and Charcoal Shawaya Mandi are must-tries for anyone new to the menu.

The Charcoal Shawaya Mandi was smoky, tender and full of flavour. Easily some of the best mandi in Kakkanad — generous portions and the rice was perfectly aromatic.

Chicken Madhouth is a must-try. The spice balance is spot on and the chicken falls off the bone. Mozzarella kunafa to finish was the perfect sweet ending.

Warm Arabic-style interiors with comfortable majlis seating — great for family dinners. The Velvet Cream Alfaham is rich and silky without being heavy.

Loved the hummus selection and fattoush before the mandi arrived. Beef Rib Mandi was the highlight — flavourful, well-cooked and halal. Will be back.

Cosy lighting, attentive service and the Burj Al Arab faluda is a showstopper. A lovely spot on Infopark Express Way for a relaxed Arabian meal.

At QumQum on Infopark Express Way, Arabian stories and flavour fill every dish — from pressure-cooker Chicken Madhouth to charcoal shawaya mandi.

Velvet Cream Alfaham feels like a velvet finish — cheese and sauce with a special masala blend. QumQum BBQ is one of our signature dishes, made with chicken leg piece and distinct Arabic flavour.
